EP Epoxy 1 minute
wij gebruiken deze epoxy tegenwoordig voor het aanbrengen van de 3d epoxy ogen op de streamers en we zijn er erg tevreden over. Wel snel handelen, want i minuut is kort.
No matter what epoxy you are going to use first you need to shape the fly. Problems begin when people use 5-minute epoxy because:
- The epoxy runs on you
- You lose control of the fibers and, consequently
- You lose control of the time (6 minutes is generally the setting time for the 5-minute epoxy)
- When the epoxy finally sets, you end up with a crooked fly that you are not happy with! Not true?
The reason I use the EP 1 Minute Epoxy and EP 30 Minute Epoxy is simple, it works!
Here’s how:
- Hold the fibers with your finger to the desire shape.
- With a bodkin mix EP 1 Minute Epoxy on a hard non-porous surface such as glass or ceramic tile.
- Apply EP 1 Minute Epoxy through the fibers. DO NOT remove yours fingers from the fibers and don’t worry it WILL NOT run on you. You must keep the desire shape while you do this operation. DO NOT look on the other side of the fly. If the fly looks good to you on your side, it will look perfect on the other side as well.
- After that I suggest you let the fly dry overnight and then apply the EP 30 Minute Epoxy over it.
Your result will be outstanding. You will have a bombproof fly and it will stay crystal clear under any conditions. And remember, 5 minute epoxy is NOT waterproof or sun proof, it will turn yellow and it will crack. Sound familiar?
